Nobody ever said it’s comfortable at the top, but it certainly wasn’t a “comfortable” weekend that the red-shirted New York Dianetics team went in for this weekend!

Well over 2000 New Yorkers have been helped so far this weekend, with the one technology - Dianetics - that will rid them of their reactive minds.

We’re collecting photos from around the world of you in action on this weekend’s Dianetics & Scientology Basics Book-A-Thon!  We’ve got but a handful now, but will be posting the best of them on our handy Book-A-Thon Flickr map!

So, when  you send in your pictures to the Book-A-Thon headquarters, make sure to tell us where they were taken, so we can put them on the map!   And, if you don’t know where to send them, just comment on this post and we’ll tell you!

  In a surprise maneuver, New York pulled ahead of Mexico City as the #1 City on the planet in the International Dianetics Book-A-Thon!!

The city-by-city standings now are:

I have been assured by reliable sources that extremely big news is coming from New York City -  and that the rest of the world had better watch out!

So far, based on the Dianetics Book-A-Thon standings here from Book-A-Thon Central,  Mexico City (O.D.D. org, or “Organizacion Desarrollo y Dianetica“) is in the lead, with Latin America blasting past everyone with a hefty lead. 

The entire Dianetics world is now, once again, abuzz with Book-a-Thon fever.  Our biggest book-a-thon ever is now underway!  

The initial results are now in, and if you want to know where your city stands in comparison with the rest of the world, just subscribe to our regular book-a-thon updates!

This weekend is the kick-off of the first Basics Book-a-Thon of 2008!   This year, the absolute target is to 100X the volume of books gotten to the people of your community, to massively spearhead the clearing of your zone.  And it starts NOW!

Seeing as they’re not bashful about how they get Dianetics out everywhere and anywhere in L.A., it’s not much of a surprise that the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles whips to the lead in this weekend’s book-a-thon!   As you can see from the Dianetics booksales photos, the L.A. team has been up one side of the city and down the other - in force!

Extremely close-in behind, however, is the Church of Scientology of Milano in Italy - the largest Scientology central organization in the world.  So, if I was L.A. - I wouldn’t be resting on my laurels!

(and as a note, New York is now tied with Bulawayo, Zimbabwe - but the mighty Africans are still giving New York a run for their money!  Who taught who here, anyhow!?)
